Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse

The Department of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences (HNES) is one of five units that comprise the College of Human Development & Education. The department offers all students an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge that are vital in developing a personal, lifetime wellness concept and to serve as teachers, leaders, and administrators of health, physical education, recreation, athletic training, exercise science, and dietetics.

  • Sport and Recreation Leadership Studies

Minors are offered in:

Certification is offered in:

  • Coaching
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Food Sanitation
  • Physical Best

M.S. degree available in Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences with three options:

  1. Dietetics (on-line)
  2. Exercise/Nutrition Science
  3. Sport Pedagogy and Leadership

M.S. degree in Advanced Athletic Training.

Masters of Athletic Training in Athletic Training.

PhD in Human Development includes a Wellness option.
