Application Process for Professional Dietetics Programs CPD & DPD

Major Criterion for admission:   On a 4-points scale, a 2.5 overall GPA is required and a 2.5 science GPA is recommended. Before entering the Professional Dietetics Program student must have received a C or above in General Chem I, General Chem II, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Physiology (A & P2). Applications from people with less than a 2.5 GPA WILL NOT be considered.

Application packet MUST include the following:

•  Cover letter.

•  A completed Application Form.

Applications for CPD/ DPD 

•  Official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended (include transfer sheet if applicable).

•  Two (2) letters of reference (under separate cover).                                            

NOTE: The courses (or equivalent) listed for the 1st and 2nd year on your 4 year plan of study (pre-professional) must be completed prior to fall semester of the junior year; e.g., the year you commence the CPD or DPD. Exceptions may be made by your advisor and Dietetics Program Coordinator.  

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Selection criteria will be based on: Overall GPA, Science GPA, Letters of Recommendation, Dietetics Experience, Non-Dietetics Experience, Volunteer Experience, Professional Student Organizations including SDA & ADA, Cover Letter and Application Form.

PROGRAM APPOINTMENT NOTIFICATION

Notification about the decision for your appointment into the Program will be mailed no later than March 22nd each year.
